About the session

This masterclass was designed to enhance fellows’ ability to craft and deliver clear, engaging, and high-impact presentations by focusing on two core skills: storyboarding a deck and visual simplification.

Part 1: Story of a Slide – Storyboarding a Presentation DeckEvery slide in a presentation carries a message—and when structured well, the entire deck becomes a powerful narrative. This session explored how to storyboard a presentation to improve clarity, flow, and impact. Fellows learned to:– Build presentations that are easy to understand, remember, and act upon– Apply storytelling principles to individual slides and entire decks– Practice crafting their own decks with a storyboard-first approach

Part 2: Uncluttered and Clear Communication: Visualisation and SimplificationEver found yourself apologizing for a “busy” slide? This session was for everyone navigating the challenge of presenting complex ideas with limited space and time. Fellows learned to:– Choose the right visuals and charts for their data– Simplify complex slides using principles of visual hierarchy and design– Declutter content to highlight key messages effectively

Together, these modules equipped participants to communicate their ideas with clarity, intention, and impact—through well-structured and visually compelling presentations.
