Akshay leads program delivery at U-CAN, and works closely with the CEO and the secretariat in planning and executing U-CAN’s various activities. He has extensive experience working on various aspects of India’s development aspirations as well as global development initiatives, spending nearly seven years working in India’s nascent public policy space, providing policy advice, drafting communication and advocacy material, planning documents for government agencies, and analysing key policies at national and sub-national levels. He has also been part of the founding team of a global organisation’s Asia team, with a strong focus on urban transformation.
