Session Lead: Chirantan Bhabhra

Chirantan is a seasoned storytelling coach and teacher, who prefers to describe himself as a lifelong student of storytelling and music. An engineer and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, he brings over 19 years of diverse work experience—spanning large multinationals like P&G and CMC, as well as entrepreneurship through ventures such as Snapbizz Cloudtech and Udaan.

Chirantan has spent the past decade training professionals and students in communication and storytelling, with a particular focus on both oral and written formats. His workshops are known for being interactive, practical, and deeply engaging. Outside his professional life, he is also a performing musician specializing in retro, sufi, and ghazal genres.

About the session

This masterclass served as an introduction to the art of storytelling at work, helping fellows understand how to communicate their work with clarity, impact, and resonance. The session explored:

– Why storytelling works in professional settings and how it enhances communication
– Techniques for being concise and structured, using frameworks like BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front)
– Breaking down the What, How, and Why of one’s work through storytelling
– The importance of analogies in simplifying complex ideas
– Key traits of effective storytellers and how to cultivate them
– A hands-on practice session on crafting impact stories, enabling fellows to articulate the value and results of their work more powerfully

This foundational masterclass set the tone for reflective and purposeful communication throughout the U-CAN journey.
